A research program at the intersection of physics, consciousness science, engineering, and spirituality — exploring what becomes possible when we treat the non-physical world as engineerable territory
Something fundamental is missing from our scientific picture of reality.
The boundary between physical and non-physical existence is not a wall. It is a membrane — and there is now sufficient theoretical and experimental evidence to suggest that membrane can be crossed by design, not just by accident. That crossing has implications that reach far beyond what most people, including most scientists, have allowed themselves to consider: contact with non-physical intelligence, healing at the level of the informational body, a form of physical immortality achieved not through biological life-extension but through engineered crossing into the non-physical dimension itself, and ultimately the full range of capabilities that enlightened masters and non-human intelligences have demonstrated for centuries — teleportation, creation of physical reality through intention, time travel — reframed not as miracles but as engineering problems waiting to be solved.
This Substack is the ongoing home of that research program.
My name is Steve Glanz. For more than four decades I have pursued these questions across multiple disciplines — physics, consciousness science, philosophy, engineering, and spirituality — not as competing frameworks but as complementary lenses on a single reality. My work lives at transmaterialization.com, an evolving archive of seventy-three essays (and counting) across six research domains, built outward from Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC) — the decades-old, evidence-based practice of communicating with non-physical intelligence through electronic media — as its technological and empirical foundation. What I call Transmaterialization Technology is the next step beyond it: instrumental systems capable of sustained, verifiable interaction with non-physical reality.
The first major output of that program is now published.

The PDF’s internal navigation (table of contents, note cross-references) works fully when downloaded directly, but Academia.edu and ResearchGate’s in-browser preview viewers don’t support that kind of interactive navigation — a limitation of their viewers, not the file. On Academia, use the normal Download button; on ResearchGate, use the “More” menu next to Share (not the Full Text link, which currently doesn’t work).
Clickable superscript-to-note linking works as intended on Kindle, but on Apple Books and Kobo, the superscript numbers currently don’t link to their notes. The notes themselves are still fully there at the end of each chapter — just reached by scrolling rather than tapping.
On the Barnes & Noble/Nook app, tapping a specific chapter in the table of contents takes you to that chapter’s Part rather than the exact page — from there, a short scroll gets you the rest of the way.
